FIXTURE DESIGN & MANUFACTURE
We have a long history of high quality, high accuracy fixture design and manufacture. Our customer base is diverse so we’re very experienced in accepting CAD data from a variety of different software packages. We use Vero Visicam CAD/CAM and solidworks as our main platforms to provide machining fixture design and manufacture for the automotive and aerospace sectors. We supply gauging fixtures, welding fixtures, assembly fixtures and can produce pallets and tombstones for all your machining needs.
Our talented engineers can design your fixtures with internal oil ways and external hydraulic plumbing along with pneumatic detection. We have comprehensive test facilities in-house for both hydraulic and pneumatic systems, so you can be assured of the highest quality, highly accurate fixtures. Gauging and inspection fixtures
Vertex designs and manufactures automotive and aerospace gauging fixtures and bespoke metrology inspection fixtures for CMMs. These range from single station to large repeat multi-station solutions. When components are available then Gauge R&R studies can be carried out on all gauging and inspection fixtures before release.
Precision machining fixtures are manufactured to suit tombstones, twin-pallet machining centres, 5-axis machining where access is a constraint, and single fixtures to hold one component or machine multi-operations.
Assembly and welding fixtures
The design and manufacture of automotive and aerospace assembly and welding fixtures to your CAD data and models. Designed in conjunction with your engineers to achieve your requirements and manufactured and validated to deliver the necessary performance and accuracy required.
Vertex produces high-accuracy cast iron tombstones for machining components, and stress-relieved fabricated steel variants for when a more cost-effective solution is required. All tombstones are precision machined for component location and repeatability.
