Over 75 delegates attended the SMMT’s Midlands Regional Forum at the new Autocraft Machining Solutions facility in Wellingborough in January. At this important regular networking event for the Midlands, co-owner Mike Hague-Morgan presented Autocraft’s past performance, present and future expansion plans for engine assembly and remanufacture, and the delegates had the opportunity to tour the factory which is dedicated to the machining of cylinder heads and blocks for the assembly line at Autocraft Grantham.
Mike Hague-Morgan commented “the team at Autocraft were delighted to host one of the largest Regional Forum’s held, the response to the SMMT’s invitation and the turnout on the day was incredible. We were pleased to see so many of the delegates sharing experiences and networking in the break-out session after the formal presentations. Only by attending events such as these can companies discover best practice, solve problems and find solutions in a non-competitive, automotive focused environment. I would encourage all SMMT members to attend these Regional Forums, and for any company within the automotive industry, SMMT membership is a must!”
The event was chaired by Tim Hughes of SMMT, and sponsored by Moneypenny, which provides people and technology to look after calls and live chat exactly as if based in your office.
