Elbar Group establishes South East Lincs Engineering at the current site in Grantham. Production consisted purely of the remanufacture of Transit diesel engines for Ford Motor Company.

1997

South East Lincs Engineering was purchased by Fred Jones Corporation of America.

1998

Grantham site purchased by Aftermarket Technology Corporation (ATC) and changed name to Autocraft Industries UK.

2008

Company rebranded as ATC Drivetrain by US owners.

May 2010

Management Buy Out completed by Mike Hague-Morgan, Steve Harris and Brian Barr. Company re-born as Autocraft Drivetrain Solutions Limited with 98 jobs secured.

2011

Growth in turnover for the first time in 6 years.

2012

Purchased PTWA machine for spraying and recovery of cylinder blocks.

June 2015

Autocraft exhibits for the first time at ReMaTec remanufacturing exhibition in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

July 2015

Autocraft acquires the assets of a sub-contract machinist and fixture design and manufacturer in Birmingham, naming it Vertex Engineering Solutions Limited.

June 2018

Autocraft Solutions Group is born following the purchase of Autocraft Machining Solutions in Wellingborough.

June 2018

First cylinder blocks off the line at Autocraft Machining Solutions in just 2 weeks.

November 2018

Autocraft wins ReMaTec “Remanufacturer of the Year” award for our PTWA/RSW cylinder bore spray process.

January 2019

Vertex expands into 3rd unit at Birmingham facility and takes delivery of 2 brand new CNC machine tools.

June 2020

Despite Covid-19, another 2 Heller 4-axis CNC horizontal machining centres are safely installed at Autocraft Machining Solutions in Wellingborough.
